Event Details

Bicycle NSW is the peak member-based association for people who ride bicycles in NSW. Bicycle NSW promotes and supports cycling for recreation, commuting, health and active travel. The organisation also advocates on behalf of its members to improve road conditions and educate road users on safety issues.

 

With support from the Roads and Maritime Service, Bicycle NSW will be providing free community based safe cycling workshops across New South Wales this year (2011) aiming to improve bicycle riding skills, knowledge of road rules and safety of children and their families. Workshops are conducted by AustCycle certified trainers in safe and controlled environment. Prizes will also be available on the day!

 

The final workshop will be held during the January 2012 school holidays, in conjunction with Parramatta City Council’s school holiday program.

 

Children who attend are encouraged to bring older siblings and/or their parents along to participate as well. Please register for each participant including older siblings and/or parents. Enrolments open 12th December.

 

Please note: Each participant (including parents and siblings) needs to bring their own bike and helmet in good condition.
